New Pier Construction Project

Stolthaven Dagenham is part of the global Stolt-Nielsen Group, a leading provider of bulk liquid storage and distribution services. The Dagenham terminal, located on the River Thames, plays a vital role in supporting the import and export of chemicals and industrial products. As part of a major infrastructure investment, Stolthaven embarked on the construction of a new pier - a complex and high-value project requiring precise documentation for operational monitoring, security, and marketing purposes.

Time-Lapse Solutions was commissioned to design and install a system capable of delivering continuous, high-quality video coverage of the construction. To achieve full site visibility, we installed a camera on a 40-metre security tower overlooking the entire pier and surrounding works.

The system provided live video streaming to Stolthaven's management and security teams, allowing them to monitor progress and site activity in real time. Footage was securely recorded and stored in the cloud, ensuring reliable access and full video records were retained for a year after completion.

This solution offered Stolthaven both a powerful project management and security tool, as well as a lasting visual record of a key capital investment - showcasing their commitment to safety, innovation, and operational excellence.

Agricultural Time-Lapse and Live Streaming Project

Lidl is one of Europe's largest supermarket chains, known for delivering high-quality produce at affordable prices. As part of a major social media marketing campaign, Lidl wanted to showcase the journey of their fresh produce - from field to store - through stunning close-up time-lapse footage of crops growing, including apples, cherries, celery, strawberries, and raspberries.

The project required capturing detailed growth sequences over several weeks in multiple remote farm locations across the UK. Adding to the challenge, Lidl also wanted parts of the footage streamed live to YouTube - creating a transparent and engaging connection between their customers and the farmers who grow their produce.

These sites presented significant technical challenges: no reliable power, limited connectivity, and delicate filming conditions inside polytunnels and open fields. Time-Lapse Solutions designed a fully off-grid setup using our solar power kits to provide continuous energy and Starlink satellite internet to deliver live connectivity.

The result was a seamless and visually captivating campaign that celebrated British farming and Lidl's commitment to quality and sustainability. Prax Lindsey Oil Refinery

Equipment Installation Project

The Prax Group's Lindsey Oil Refinery, located in Immingham, is one of the UK's key energy facilities, with the capacity to process up to 109,000 barrels of oil per day. As part of a major upgrade, the refinery was installing critical new equipment - a complex and high-risk operation requiring careful documentation for both project records and future reference.

Given the challenging industrial environment, strict health and safety procedures, and limited access to power, Time-Lapse Solutions provided a bespoke solar-powered camera system to ensure continuous, safe, and reliable recording throughout the project.

Our specialist team worked closely with Prax's on-site safety and engineering teams to install cameras on the refinery's flare stacks - some of the tallest and most visually striking structures on site. From these elevated positions, the cameras captured extraordinary footage of the installation, both day and night, providing a unique perspective of one of the UK's most important energy facilities.

The resulting time-lapse films not only serve as a valuable visual record for Prax's engineering and safety teams but also as a powerful piece of documentation demonstrating precision, coordination, and professionalism in one of the most demanding industrial environments in the country.

Herne Bay Residential Development

KELF Civil Engineering are experts in groundworks and civil engineering, delivering large-scale residential and commercial developments across the South East. Known for their technical expertise and reliability, KELF are currently constructing a major multi-phase residential development in Herne Bay, Kent - a project that will span more than three years and transform the local landscape.

We deployed 13 high-definition cameras, strategically positioned to capture every area of the development, providing both live oversight and detailed progress records.

Because of the tight city-centre location, the best vantage point for filming was from the top of a 60-metre crane - providing a truly stunning view of the entire site. Our team safely rigged a camera at this height, capturing an impressive perspective that not only supports remote monitoring but will form the centrepiece of the final marketing film showing the full build from start to finish.

Initially powered by solar due to limited site power, the system was later seamlessly transitioned to mains - demonstrating the flexibility and reliability of Solutions' technology throughout every phase of construction.

As one of their most high-profile projects to date, Highline wanted to showcase their expertise while giving GSK full visibility of progress throughout the build.

Time-Lapse Solutions was chosen to provide a secure and fully compliant time-lapse system tailored to the sensitive nature of the site. Following extensive security clearances and risk assessments, two time-lapse cameras were installed with rigorous measures to ensure that no confidential or restricted areas were ever exposed.
